Synthetic wigs are easy to care for and they care for you! From classic to monofilament. Stable color. Pre-styled and ready to go.

There are two main types of synthetic wigs, monofilament and classic. Both have a different texture and look. Synthetic wigs are made of synthetic fibers. There are several that are used, however, you will probably not know which is used unless you research it and you probably do not need to know. These fibers give the synthetic wigs several features over natural hair wigs.

COST

Firstly, and probably one of the most important to many of us, is the cost of synthetic wigs. They are much more affordable than human hair wigs. Human hair wigs will generally cost from about $300.00 and up to thousands of dollars while synthetic wigs will range from about $80.00 for  good quality synthetic wigs and up to about $250.00 to $300.00 for a top of the line monofilament one.

MAINTENANCE

Secondly, synthetic wigs are lower maintenance than a human hair wig. As stated earlier, natural hair wigs require maintenance similar to a person’s own natural hair.

STABILITY

Thirdly, the style and color of  synthetic wigs is much more stable. When washed properly in cold water, or when it gets wet from rain or high humidity, the style and color will not change. The texture and color will not change with sunlight either.

RESEMBLE NATURAL HAIR

Fourthly, the synthetic wig fibers tend to be light in weight and resemble natural hair in movement.

COLORS AND TONES

Lastly, synthetic wigs comes in more colors and tones than human hair wigs. There is a wide range of colors and blended tones for you to choose from. Some have different tones in one wig to help blend with your own natural hair better.

HEAT

Be aware that with the exception of very few heat friendly fibers, that you will not be able to use heated rollers or irons to style your wig. In fact synthetic wigs do not like excessive heat and you must be careful of it. Please see wearing wigs to learn more about this.
